OVERVIEW
Several methods are disclosed for the preparation microporous alumnia ceramic membranes. For the first time, porous alumnia membranes are made which have mean pore sizes less than 100 Angstroms and substantially no pores larger than that size. The methods are based on improved sol-gel techniques.
