Programs for K-12 students, educators and families

WARF sponsors several programs that highlight science and creativity for K-12 students, educators and their families. Most of these programs are open to the public and held at the Town Center in the Discovery Building.

  • Afterschool Expeditions

    Elementary and middle school students are invited to explore, engage and discover science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison on Mondays from 2:30 to 4 p.m. during the school year.
     
  • Field Trips

    During the school year, several field trip experiences at the Discovery Building are available for students in elementary, middle and high school.
     
  • Saturday Science

    Saturday Science at Discovery is a monthly series that consists of free science exploration and education programs aimed at families and learners of all ages.
     
  • Summer Science at Discovery

    Elementary and middle school students are invited to explore, engage and discover science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison this summer on Thursdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
     
  • Wisconsin Science Festival

    The Wisconsin Science Festival welcomes people of all ages to look, listen, feel, touch, taste and discover the wonders of all aspects of the sciences, arts and more through interactive exhibits, hands-on workshops, lectures, demonstrations and conversations with leading researchers and creative thinkers.
