For UW Inventors
Your Idea Can Benefit the World |
PARTNERING WITH UW–MADISON FACULTY, STUDENTS & STAFF
WARF advances UW–Madison discoveries to benefit society. Since 1925, we have helped thousands of patents find real-world applications to make a difference in countless lives and have invested more than $2 billion (adjusted for inflation) back into the university to fund more research.
It’s never too early to talk to us about your idea. UW–Madison selected WARF to receive all invention disclosures from faculty, staff and
students. This policy allows WARF and the university to review any contractual obligations associated with your discovery to be sure you move forward in the right direction. WARF is a proud partner and offers generous returns, advances technologies to the marketplace and defends intellectual property.
GETTING STARTED
Your first step is to fill out a brief Invention Disclosure Report (IDR) to tell us about your idea. If you have any questions about this process, contact Brian Frushour, Intellectual Property Associate: bfrushour@warf.org | 608.960.9871.
