Polyclonal Antibodies to CARM1

The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) is seeking commercial partners interested in developing polyclonal antibodies to the enzyme CARM1.
OVERVIEWThe enzyme CARM1 (coactivator associated arginine methyltransferase1) plays an important role in controlling development and cell growth. This nuclear hormone receptor co-activator is involved in the activation of several transcription factors, including NF-kB, p53, E2F1 and steroid receptors, such as the estrogen receptors. Standard analysis techniques, such as immunohistochemistry, can be used to improve our understanding of the function of CARM1 in vivo; however, high quality antibodies are needed for these analyses.
THE INVENTIONA UW-Madison researcher has developed polyclonal antibodies to CARM1. These antibodies were isolated from rabbit serum and have been thoroughly tested for various applications.
APPLICATIONS
  • Immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, Western blot and chromatin immunoprecipitation analyses
