The Invention
A UW-Madison researcher has developed a method for identifying cancer patients who will respond well to radiation treatment by measuring the chromosomal instability levels of the tumor cells. The researcher also developed a method for sensitizing tumors to radiation treatment through pretreatment or co-administration of an agent that induces chromosomal instability.
