Innovation Roadmap Speaker: Xiaohoa Michelle Ching | 12.4.18

Literator is an award-winning app that serves over 2,500 schools worldwide by helping them meet their students’ exact literacy needs. Discover the inspiration behind its creation and the challenges that Xiaohoa Michelle Ching, a UW alum who attended public schools in the Midwest and later became a teacher in Oakland, California, faced during her entrepreneurial journey at WARF’s Innovation Roadmap Speaker Series.

Ching has been recognized many times for her work in education, including being listed as a 2018 Forbes 30 Under 30 in Education as well as a Forbes 30×100 “intelligencer.” She also holds a Project Literacy Fellowship position at Unreasonable, a campaign that is aiming to close the global literacy gap by 2030.
