WARF: P210152US02

Inventors: Jess Reed, Christian Krueger

The Invention
The inventors have developed methods for creating tannin-chitosan composite thin-films incorporating active pharmaceutical ingredients, including psilocybin (a psychedelic) and biosimilars (melatonin and serotonin). In dissolution tests the active ingredient(s) were released in less than 5 minutes with up to 100% recovery as determined by quantitative high performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detection.
Key Benefits
  • Rapid release
  • 100% recovery
