The Invention

UW-Madison researchers have developed a lipid-oligomer nanoparticle (lipomer) for packaging and delivery of mRNA in vivo. The lipomer displays high delivery efficiency, versatile surface chemistry for ligand conjugation, high payload loading content (≥10 wt%), relatively small particle sizes (~80 nm), good biodegradability and biocompatibility, and ease of manufacturing, transport, and storage.
