Maize Inbred Lines for Early Relative Maturity Hybrid Production
WARF: P270049US01

Inventors: Shawn Kaeppler, Natalia de Leon Gatti

The Invention

UW-Madison plant breeders have developed corn inbred lines that mature relatively early, as compared to other commercial corn lines. These inbreds were used to create hybrids and showed relatively early maturation in green house experiments. The researchers are planning on formerly releasing a subset of these lines once additional testing on the inbreds and hybrids created through the inbreds have been tested.
