Guelay Bilen-Rosas: Novel Respiratory Monitoring

Respiratory failure is difficult to predict and can become life threatening within minutes. Therefore, continuous and quantitative monitoring is imperative. Despite this, present day standards rely on non-respiratory devices that measure changes in vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, etc.). Here, a novel respiratory monitoring device has been developed that provides direct, quantitative information that could save lives.
