The Invention

UW-Madison researchers have developed a combination of low dose radiation with a CAR T cell to treat solid tumors. They provided a low dose of targeted radionuclide therapy given prior to CAR T cell infusion. The dose and timing of this is critical. The dosing of the targeted radionuclide therapy in particular is very low, a dose that has never been employed clinically for therapeutic benefit.
